PRCode diagrams

Tax PRCode with one dependent segment

Tax.USA represents the simplest type of PRCode. It consists of the main Type segment and one dependent segment, the built-in Tax segment.

To formulate a PRCode, choose one segment item from each segment.

Pay PRCode with sibling segments

Pay.Reg.Dallas is a PRCode with sibling segments. It consists of the main Type segment and two dependent segments, including the built-in Pay segment. The two dependent segments share the same parent segment item, so we refer to them as sibling segments. The order in which sibling segments appear in the PRCode depends on the display order assigned to each segment.

To formulate a PRCode, choose one segment item from each segment.

Deduction PRCode with two dependent segments

Ded.Health.BCBS is a PRCode with two non-sibling dependent segments. It consists of the main Type segment, the built-in Deduction segment, and the user-defined HealthIns segment which arises from the selection of the Health segment item.

To formulate a PRCode, choose one segment item from each segment.

Statistics PRCode with two dependent segments

Like Ded.Health.BCBS from the previous slide, Stat.401k.FundC is a PRCode with two non-sibling segments. It consists of the main Type segment, the built-in Statistic segment, and the user-defined F401 segment which arises from the selection of the 401k segment item.

To formulate a PRCode, choose one segment item from each segment.
